Wong Ka Yan

It is the summer of 1992. Chun Yin lives on the small island of Ping Chau. He and his sister Wai Yin run a little restaurant there. He plays a guitar his sister bought him. Nobody on the island listens to his music. One day he goes to a cinema in the city. He meets the girl selling tickets. Her name is Wong Ka Yan. A mishap leaves them spending the night together. He promises he will write her a song. When he goes back the next day she has left the job and nobody knows where she went. All he has to go on is a name, and he searches for her by one unlikely means after another; every Yan he finds turns out to be somebody else, and years later the story reaches the woman it was about. Wong Yau-Nam and Karena Ng Chin-Yu appear in the ninety six minute film, a Hong Kong production Benny Lau Wai-Hang finished in 2015.
