A young man runs a factory. One day he comes across a man walking along the road. In conversation the man says something. His family has served the manager’s family for generations. The manager gives him a job. He starts looking out for him. That attention makes him see something. The company treats its workers badly. The more he notices, the less easy he is with it. Pressure comes from the people around him. They want him to protect his own position. Serious trouble surfaces at the factory as well, and he is caught between his conscience and his place. Balla Moussa Keita, Baba Niare, Omou Diarra and Ismaila Sarr appear in the ninety minute film, a Malian production Souleymane Cissé finished in 1978.
