You're Not Normal, Either!

Yasuomi is a cram school teacher buried in mathematics and hopeless with people. He does not complain about his life, but the prospect of staying alone for the rest of it has begun to weigh on him. One day his student Kasumi tells him flatly that he is not normal, so he asks her to teach him what normal is supposed to mean. Her own trouble lies somewhere else entirely: she is infatuated with an ambitious businessman and is losing her own measure while trying to make that work. The film does not put the two of them together; it does the opposite, showing from two directions that there is no such thing as normal. Kôji Maeda directed, and it opened in March 2021 with Ryo Narita and Kaya Kiyohara in the leads.
