Plot
Mystery! is an episodic television series that debuted in 1980 in the USA. It airs on PBS and is produced by WGBH. The show has brought a large number of detective series and television movies - most of them British productions from the BBC or the ITV companies and usually adapted from mystery fiction literary sources - to air on American television. In 2002, they added an American-produced series based on the novels of Tony Hillerman to their roster.

How the Pulse Score works
For series, Pulse starts from the IMDb rating shrunk by vote count, then applies FORMAT CALIBRATION. Series score systematically higher than films on IMDb, so using the raw number would unfairly push a show like Masterpiece Mystery to the top of a film catalogue. Calibration maps the series distribution onto the film one; meaning 69 is COMPARABLE to a film with the same Pulse.
One more difference from films: Letterboxd does not track series, so series Pulse derives from a single source (IMDb) rather than two.
