Alice Braga

Alice Braga plays Karinna, dyed blonde, in Lower City. The archive review builds the film's tone out of her first image: the character making up in front of a cracked mirror announces, by that review, the high-octane drama of the ninety-seven minutes to come. The same sentence ties her to a family tree as well, saying she is Sonia Braga's niece; it is a rare thing for a link made through a surname to be given by the source itself. The review puts the film in the same school as two Latin American films that drew crowds, and notes that she acted in one of those two, though that second link is missing from our own record.
