Only God Knows

In Tijuana, a carefree Brazilian art student and a brooding Mexican journalist cross paths. The meeting sets off a run of events spreading across two countries. A close relationship forms between Dolores and Damian, and at the same time a mysterious inheritance of belief that ties the two of them together comes to light. As they go on, the price of the decisions they make grows heavier. The film keeps both sides of the border and both languages inside the same account. The account leaves both characters alone with their own pasts; love here is not a solution but the thing that opens up the questions nobody had asked. Diego Luna and Alice Braga appear in Carlos Bolado’s hundred and fifteen minute film, completed in 2006.
