Tales of Mexico

The film is built from eight separate stories. All of them take place in the same room. The room is inside a house and changes tenants over a hundred years. Each story belongs to a different period. The account runs from the start of the twentieth century to the present. The Mexican Revolution is one of those periods. The persecution the Asian community suffered is covered as well. The assassination of Luis Donaldo Colosio is the subject of another part. The war against drug trafficking is taken up too. The hopes and the disappointments of those who live in the room are shown. The same space witnesses something different each time. The rise and fall of the house runs parallel to the country. Eight directors shot these parts separately. Sofía Espinosa and Irène Jacob appear in the hundred and eighteen minute film, a Mexican and Polish co-production finished in 2017.
