What The Square Is About
Two and a half years in Tahrir Square. The film does not begin with the fall of Mubarak in 2011; it carries on from there, and what it is really about is what happened once the square emptied. The camera follows a few people: a young activist raised on the street, an actor who came back from London, a family man loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood, and a musician writing the revolution's songs. Standing together in one square, they come apart as the army and the Brotherhood fight it out.
