Linus Roache

Linus Roache performs in eight films here, from Priest of 1995 to My Policeman of 2022, Mandy of 2018 drawing more votes than the rest. What is known of him here comes from two separate critics writing in 1999. Paul Elliott counts Roache's playing of the footballer Denis Law, in a biographical film called Best, the aptest piece of casting in the production, and finds the impersonation near perfect from the haircut to the manner of speech. Claire Monk calls the English paint expert Perry he plays in Siam Sunset slyly charismatic, and says the reticent-Englishman cliché is inverted through that part.
