Sheryl Lee

The Spirit list of Film Independent names Sheryl Lee a nominee for lead female at the 1993 ceremony; the category belongs to the person, and the film is David Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me from the year before, which no other of her four entries has been rated above. A second source says something else about her. Kim Newman's 1997 Sight and Sound review of Vampires condemns the film's view of women severely and points to Lee's character as the plainest instance, someone both sides treat as disposable. The oldest of the four entries is from 1992, the newest from 2010.
