The story is set in Dublin in 1979. Maeve is thirteen. Childhood is over and adulthood has not begun. The title comes from a bra size. Maeve gets her first bra. For her it marks a threshold. She has three close friends. Ruth, Claire and Orla. They are a little further along in these things. Their days are school, jobs at home and hours spent together. Then Maeve gets close to the local heartthrob. His name is Brian Power. That closeness puts the friendship under strain. Maeve is not there for them at the moment they need her. The film turns into a question of conscience. The script won the Tiernan McBride Award and the film was named best first feature at the Galway Film Fleadh. Ailish McCarthy and Aidan Quinn appear in the eighty nine minute film, an Irish production Marian Quinn finished in 2007.
