What A Christmas Blessing Is About
Mandy Gilmore, a well known television star, says goodbye to her cookery series and plans to travel the world eating in starred restaurants. Before flying to Paris she stops in Milwaukee to hand over the deed of the food pantry her late aunt ran to Adam Carraway, who owns the business next door. It looks like a simple transaction. But Otto Nessen, one of the pantry’s volunteers, reminds everyone that the aunt’s love of cooking was really a love of feeding people, and sets in motion one more holiday meal. The film is a television production and works with the known moulds of its kind. The account shows charity not as a gesture of goodwill but as work that has to be kept up. Lori Loughlin and James Tupper appear in David Winning’s eighty four minute American film, completed in 2023.
