Accidental Anarchist

Carne Ross began his working life as a diplomat. He worked in the British foreign service. He rose quickly. He believed in Western democracy. He worked inside the system. In time he came to see what it failed at. He saw the deceptions too. He watched at close range what power does to people. The Iraq war was the break for him. He lost his faith in it and left the job. He then set out to look for answers, and the search took him in some unexpected directions. Noam Chomsky, Rory Stewart, Michael Premo and Tammy Shapiro also speak in the film, which stays with Ross’s own search. Clara Glynn and John Archer made the eighty four minute documentary, a British production finished in 2017.
