After School

Jinno teaches at a middle school. His life is quiet and orderly. He is close to Kimura, a friend from childhood. Kimura’s wife is about to give birth. But on the eve of the birth the man disappears. Nobody knows where he has gone. Then a man arrives at the school. He introduces himself as a private detective. He says he is looking for Kimura and asks Jinno to help. The two of them begin following the trail. What comes up is more tangled than expected. Everyone has a story to tell. Which of them is true stays uncertain to the last. The film tells it between comedy and suspense. Yo Oizumi and Kuranosuke Sasaki appear in the hundred and two minute film, a Japanese production Kenji Uchida finished in 2008.
