Raj Malhotra is married, settled and rising at work. Sonia, the wife of his new employer, is also the girlfriend he left years ago. When he refuses her advance, she accuses him of harassment. Rather than accept the accusation, Raj files a counter-suit, and everyone around him tells him this is pointless. The film, by the brothers Abbas and Mustan, is an Indian adaptation of Disclosure (1994), which starred Michael Douglas and Demi Moore. The adaptation expands the courtroom section and sets the question inside Indian social expectation. The real event of the film was Priyanka Chopra's performance. She won Best Performance in a Negative Role at the 50th Filmfare Awards for Sonia, and remains one of only two women to win in that category. It was also a box office success. Who it's for: Viewers curious about 2000s Bollywood thrillers, courtroom drama, and Priyanka Chopra's early work. Who it's not for: The film frames harassment in one direction only and demonises its female character, a framing that is a problem from here.
