Khiladi

Raj and Boney are university students who love a bet and love winding each other up. One day they stage a fake kidnapping as a prank and even send a ransom demand. The joke goes off in their hands: one of them actually dies, the police come after them, and the survivors have to find the killer and clear themselves at the same time. The film was directed by the brothers Abbas and Mustan Burmawalla, the pair Bollywood knows as Abbas-Mustan. This is the film that made Akshay Kumar; the nickname Khiladi Kumar comes from it, and a run of films sharing the title followed. A hundred and fifty-nine minutes of songs and murder puzzle.
