Alan & Naomi

Alan Silverman is a boy living in New York. Someone new moves into their building. The girl who arrives is Naomi. Naomi comes from Paris. The city was under occupation at the time. After what she went through she has closed in on herself. The way she speaks and behaves seems strange to those around her. Alan tries to keep away from her. His parents ask him to help her. He goes to her reluctantly. There is a language problem between them as well. But in time they find a way. They start understanding each other through play and drawing. A friendship forms between the two of them. Lukas Haas and Vanessa Zaoui take the leads in Sterling Van Wagenen’s American film of 1992.
