Ángel de fuego

Alma is a young trapeze artist. She works in a poor travelling circus. Her father is a clown in the same circus, and he is ill. He carries an obsession with the woman who left them. Alma becomes pregnant from what passes between her and her father. She is determined to have the child. With that decision she leaves the circus. She then joins a group of preachers led by a woman called Refugio. Refugio performs puppet shows of biblical passages in poor neighbourhoods. The account is put together as a drama. Evangelina Sosa and Lilia Aragón take the leads in Dana Rotberg’s Mexican film of 1992.
