Angels & Airwaves: Start the Machine

The documentary follows the founding of a band. The band is called Angels and Airwaves. Its founder is Tom DeLonge. DeLonge played in blink-182 before. His departure from that band was much discussed. In the documentary he talks about it himself. The camera goes into the studio. The band is recording its first album. The album is called We Don’t Need to Whisper. The recording is followed from beginning to end. Then footage from the 2006 tour comes in. The stage recordings take up one part of the film. The daily lives of the members come into the frame too. Mark Eaton directed the seventy nine minute documentary, in which Atom Willard and David Kennedy also appear. The American production was finished in 2008.
