Mike Gaucher and Rosie Kobra are two Hollywood stunt performers, both insisting on doing their work in the most dangerous way possible and both unable to stand each other. Forced to work together on a production, the rivalry spills off the set. Claude Zidi built the film entirely on stunts and, while making the profession a subject of comedy, also shows the real danger. Jean-Paul Belmondo leads and, as throughout his career, performs almost all of them himself, with Raquel Welch opposite. The best-known passages are the car work and the sequences at height. It is not subtle and does not try to be; the point is Belmondo's physical presence and what that meant at the French box office of the period. Who it is for: viewers who like Belmondo and old-fashioned practical stunts. Who it is not for: anyone expecting something from the screenplay.
