Antaheen

Abhik has lost his faith in the people around him. He opens up to nobody. He does talk to someone online. The person on the other side is called Brinda. Brinda works as a journalist. The two of them do not know each other in person. As the messages go on they grow closer. The story is set in Kolkata. Other relationships run through the city as well. Loneliness is what they have in common. People live side by side and stay far apart. The film tells it in a quiet register. It was named best film at the national film awards. Its cinematographer and a playback singer were honoured too. Rahul Bose, Radhika Apte and Aparna Sen appear in the hundred and thirteen minute film, an Indian production shot in Bengali that Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury finished in 2009.
