What The Classic Is About

Ji-hae agrees to write letters on behalf of a friend to the boy her friend likes, except that the boy starts falling for whoever writes them, and Ji-hae likes him too. At the same time she finds, in her mother’s chest, the letters her mother exchanged with Jun-ho when she was young, and sees how closely that story resembles her own. Kwak Jae-yong runs the two generations in parallel and uses coincidence without embarrassment. One of the best loved Korean melodramas, with Son Ye-jin playing both mother and daughter.
