What Aragami Is About
Two badly wounded samurai take shelter from a storm in an isolated temple, where a swordsman and a young woman live. In the morning one of them wakes to find his companion dead and his own wounds healed. His host has given him immortality: the man was once known as Miyamoto Musashi and now lives without end as Aragami, a god of battle. All he wants is a proper fight. Seventy-six minutes, one location, two actors. Ryuhei Kitamura shot it in a single week as his half of a duel between two directors; Yukihiko Tsutsumi's film under the same rules was 2LDK.
