A young man is ready to risk everything for his twin sister’s happiness. She is being harmed by the family she married into, and to protect her he puts his own life in danger. What follows turns into a reckoning inside a family in which neither side will step back. The film puts the bond between siblings and the wish to protect at its centre, but it also asks whether that wish has a limit. The account runs family drama and action inside the same picture. The account lets the sister be heard as well; the difference between being protected and not being allowed to decide is the film’s second subject. Mahesh Babu plays the lead in Gunasekhar’s hundred and sixty six minute Telugu film, completed in 2004.
