Three friends in Milan work jobs beneath what they wanted. What they share is a plan to stage an adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac. When Marina joins the project it starts to move and to fall apart at the same time. The comedy trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo directed it with Massimo Venier. The three of them star: Aldo Baglio, Giovanni Storti and Giacomo Poretti, alongside Marina Massironi, Paola Cortellesi and Giuseppe Battiston. It became the highest-grossing Italian film of the year, taking 28 million dollars. At the 2001 Nastro d'Argento awards it took three nominations: Best Actor for the trio, Best Cinematography and Best Original Song for Samuele Bersani's composition. It won none of them. Who it is for: viewers who like Italian popular comedy and stories about friendship. Who it is not for: anyone who does not know the trio. Much of the humour rests on a rhythm the three of them have settled into, and some of it disappears from outside.
