What Flickering Lights Is About

Four small time criminals fleeing with a bag stolen from their boss take shelter in an abandoned building in the woods, and abruptly decide to open a restaurant there. Anders Thomas Jensen mixes comedy with extremely hard violence, so a scene can turn from ridiculous to bloody without warning. The backstories arrive in flashback and all say the same thing about bad fathers. It counts as one of the starting points of the Danish black comedy of its period. The language and violence are relentless.
