In 2010, thirty-three men were trapped nearly seven hundred metres down in the San José mine in Chile's Atacama Desert. Sixty-nine days later all of them were brought out alive. This film tells that: the waiting underground, the food running out, the families outside, the rescue operation. A Chilean and Spanish co-production, eighty-six minutes. One point is worth noting: there is also a Hollywood film about the same events, The 33 from 2015, and this is not that one. Small-budget and unshowy, drawing its strength from how close it stands to the event.
