What Battle of the Warriors Is About

During the Warring States period the small city of Liang becomes a target for the army of Zhao simply because it stands in the way. Its only hope is one man from the school of Mozi, which specialised in defence: Ge Li. The Mohists really existed, a philosophical school that opposed offensive war and studied the fortification of cities, and that is where the film puts its interest. The more Ge Li saves the city, the more its rulers fear him, because a foreigner the people love is more dangerous than a king. Adapted from a Japanese manga, with Andy Lau.
