Battlestar Galactica: Razor

The story of the battlestar Pegasus. Having survived the Cylon attack, the ship under Admiral Cain does whatever survival requires, including sacrificing civilians. The film tells that past interwoven with the period in which Lee Adama takes command of the Pegasus. It is not interested in space battle. It is interested in the threshold of a war crime: Cain's decisions are not wrong, only inhuman, and they repeat the series' central question in its harshest form. How far do you go to stay alive? The form is television-film scale: close to two hours, the visual language of the series, a structure built on flashbacks. That is also its function: Razor is an interstitial released before the series' fourth season, bringing the audience back into the story while filling the gap on the Pegasus side. Who it is not for: newcomers. The film introduces nobody, and following it without knowing the order of events is close to impossible.
