Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku

A Dragon Ball special about Goku's father. The story is set long before the series, on the Saiyan home world. Bardock is a low-class warrior; he clears planets with a small squad and works for Frieza's army. On one job he is badly wounded and gains an ability in the process: he sees the future. What he sees is the destruction of his own planet. The tension is this: the man knows what is coming and can convince nobody. His own people do not believe him, the army does not question orders, and time is running out. The narrative supplies a background for the series.
