Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge

One of the feature films in the Dragon Ball Z series. After Frieza is defeated another name appears: his older brother Cooler. He comes not to avenge his brother but to clear the family name, and lands on Earth. Goku and his friends are caught unprepared. Cooler has three men with him and can transform himself; the second half of the film is taken up with that transformation. Most of the narrative takes place in a forest. Gohan is trying to protect his father, Krillin and Piccolo support him, and Goku spends a long stretch injured. The structure is particular to the series: a short setup, a long fight, a finale closed by a single technique. The fight animation is well done for its period and the film is counted among the best-liked by followers of the series. It runs around forty-five minutes. Mitsuo Hashimoto directed. It is the fifth feature in the series and was shown in cinemas in 1991. A brisk instalment for anyone who likes anime and follows this series. For a viewer who does not know the series, the film explains nothing and starts straight into the fight.
