What Berserk: The Golden Age Arc III - The Advent Is About
After the mercenary band breaks up their commander is captured and tortured for a year. His former men go to free him, and whether the group can hold together is not clear. The film closes the trilogy and does not work without the first two. The narrative tests every relationship built up to here in a single night, and the final section is the most discussed part of the series. Toshiyuki Kubooka directed, adapting Kentaro Miura's manga; all three films were made by the same team. A real warning: it contains extreme violence, mass death and rape, and shows them at length. Even with experience of anime, this is not one to come to unprepared.
