Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training-

One of the Demon Slayer instalments carried into cinemas. The structure: it does not tell a new story. The last episode of the third season and the first of the fourth were joined together and shown in cinemas. So the content consists of episodes that also aired on television. The subject is the immediate aftermath of the fight in the Swordsmith Village. The Demon Slayer Corps has taken heavy losses and the other side has grown stronger. To prepare, the highest-ranking fighters, the Hashira, begin training the whole corps. Tanjiro enters the programme and each Hashira applies a different method. The visual style is the series' known property: studio ufotable's technique of combining drawing with digital effects, particularly in the water and fire sequences. It opened in Japan in February 2024 at number one in its first weekend and was distributed worldwide shortly after. For followers of the series this means seeing the transition between seasons in a cinema. For a new viewer it introduces nothing and is not a production to watch on its own; the content is also available in the series.
