Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hashira Meeting Arc

After Mount Natagumo, Tanjiro is put on trial. The charge is bringing his sister Nezuko, a demon, inside the organisation. Facing him are the nine Hashira, the corps' strongest swordsmen, most of whom want Nezuko killed at once. The subject is not combat but rule. What does an organisation do with someone who breaks its law and might still be right? The best passage is not where swords are drawn but where Oyakata-sama speaks and the air in the room changes. What follows is the Butterfly Mansion: recovery, training, and the first real breathing space in the series. It is also where Shinobu and Kanao are introduced. This is not a separate film. It combines episodes twenty-two through twenty-six with new footage and special end credits, and aired in Japan on Fuji TV in September 2021, accompanied by a trailer for Ufotable's next project. Haruo Sotozaki directs, with Natsuki Hanae, Akari Kito and Hiro Shimono in the voice cast. Who it is for: viewers who know the series and want the first full gathering of the Hashira in one piece. Who it is not for: anyone looking for action; this stretch is mostly talk, training and preparation, the quietest interval in the show.
