What Becoming Zlatan Is About
Zlatan Ibrahimović's early years, from Malmö to Juventus. The film covers the period from his first matches in 1999, through the conflict-heavy seasons at Ajax, to the move to Italy in 2005. Most of the material is archive shot at the time: the young Zlatan talking to a camera about his life, his certainty about himself and his fights, which is to say what was there before the legend was built. Leo Beenhakker, Fabio Capello and Marco van Basten are among those who speak. The brothers Fredrik and Magnus Gertten directed it. Watchable as a portrait even if football is not your subject.
