Bhramaram

An illiterate jeep driver whose name changes depending on where he happens to be turns up at the doors of his old schoolmates thirty years later. The visit begins as an ordinary reunion and becomes something else as the road goes on. Blessy wrote and directed this 2009 Malayalam film and keeps what the man played by Mohanlal actually wants hidden for a long time; at its centre is the point where guilt and revenge stop being distinguishable from each other. It was Blessy's second film with Mohanlal and one of the biggest hits of the year. Building it as a road picture lets the tension rise a little further with every change of location.
