What Blame it on Paradise Is About
A man out of prison learns that his son has been adopted by a couple living up in the mountains. He goes to the mountain village to see the boy, meet him, and if possible build something with him, without knowing how to introduce himself, what to ask for, or how long he can stay. Francesco Nuti directs and stars. It comes from the melancholy strain of eighties Italian comedy: underneath the ridiculous situations is the question of being a father and failing to be one. Ornella Muti plays opposite him. Nuti was one of the best-loved comic actors in Italy in those years, and this is one of the films a generation there grew up with.
