Jim Jarmusch, Amos Poe, Lizzie Borden, Beth B, Eric Mitchell, Charlie Ahearn, Nick Zedd, Richard Kern, Lydia Lunch and Debbie Harry are among those who speak. Fed by punk and new wave, these films stood directly against the escapist product coming out of Hollywood, and they drew as well on the French New Wave, film noir, Warhol and John Waters.
