What Blindly in Love Is About
Kentaro is a shy man of thirty five who lives with his parents and has never been out with anyone. When his family arranges a formal introduction with a woman called Nahoko, he falls in love for the first time in his life. But obstacles neither of them expected come up: Nahoko is visually impaired and cannot easily get free of parents who watch over her too closely. Kentaro, for his part, has no idea what to do with the feelings rising in him. The film shows both of them as adults trying to get out of the arrangement their families have built. Gen Hoshino and Kaho appear in Masahide Ichii’s hundred and seventeen minute Japanese film, completed in 2013.
