What Box 507 Is About
Modesto is the honest manager of a small bank branch on the Costa del Sol. His daughter died years ago in a forest fire that he took for an accident. When his bank is robbed and he is shut in the vault, papers come out of a broken deposit box showing the fire was set deliberately. The real subject grows from there: fires lit to clear land, property speculation and local politics. Modesto decides to settle it himself without going to anyone. One of the strongest examples of the revival of Spanish noir.
