Bread and Milk

Ivan had been in treatment for alcoholism. A doctors’ strike gets him out a day early. He goes home. His wife Sonja is there. So is Robi, their sixteen year old son. The first afternoon passes pleasantly. The next morning Sonja sends him to the shop. What he is to buy is bread and milk. On the way back he runs into Armando. Armando was at school with him. They talk in a bar. Ivan learns something there. What he learns dates from long before Sonja married him. Then he takes his first drink. The film shows how fragile a decision can be. It won the Lion of the Future for a first feature at Venice. Peter Musevski and Sonja Savić appear in the sixty eight minute film, a Slovenian production Jan Cvitkovič finished in 2001.
