Buddha in a Traffic Jam

Vikram is a carefree student at one of India’s leading business schools. An internet campaign he runs against moral policing makes him known overnight. His teacher, Professor Ranjan Batki, challenges him to a second campaign: raising money through a non profit for poor people living in areas where the Maoist movement operates. Vikram comes to see that the work is part of an organisation that will put his own life at risk. The film presents both socialism and capitalism in India as corrupt; that assessment is the film’s own. The account is openly built on a political thesis and aims at making a case rather than opening an argument. The work says it was inspired by real events. Anupam Kher and Arunoday Singh appear in Vivek Agnihotri’s hundred and fourteen minute Indian film, completed in 2016.
