What Bye Bye Germany Is About
Frankfurt, 1946. David Bermann and his friends, all of them survivors, want to get to America and need money to do it. Bermann goes back to the trade his family was in before they were murdered: selling bed linen door to door to German housewives, using increasingly outrageous tricks to get through the door. Meanwhile Sara Simon, an American intelligence officer whose job is precisely to identify Jews who collaborated, begins taking his past apart. Sam Garbarski adapted the first two books of Michel Bergmann's Teilacher trilogy, with Moritz Bleibtreu in the lead.
