Change Nothing

At the centre of the documentary is Jeanne Balibar. Balibar comes from acting. At one point she began to sing. The film watches her at work. Rehearsals are recorded from beginning to end. The same line is sung over and over. The musicians make small adjustments. Studio sessions are in the film as well. Rehearsals for the stage are cut in. The images are in black and white. The songs carry a tone close to jazz. The account looks at the work itself. It moves back and forth between the stage and the studio. Herve Loos and Arnaud Dieterlen are in the cast as well. The documentary stands under the heading of music. Jeanne Balibar and Rodolphe Burger appear in the hundred minute documentary, a French and Portuguese coproduction Pedro Costa finished in 2009.
