Clinton Cash

The documentary advances the claim that there is a pattern connecting foreign donations to the foundation set up by Bill and Hillary Clinton with decisions taken while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. The voice putting the case is Peter Schweizer's; the film is based on his book of the same title. Particular deals, the dates of donations and speaking fees are lined up one after another. The film came out during the 2016 election campaign and is openly partisan work. The book's claims were examined point by point by journalists and fact-checking organisations; many were found to be mistaken or incomplete, and some passages were corrected. Neither the book nor the film offers evidence that any crime was committed; the Clintons denied the allegations and no charges were brought over the matter.
