Weiner

Anthony Weiner resigned from Congress over something he posted on social media and ran for mayor of New York two years later. The documentary is with the team from the first day of the campaign. As the campaign rises a new incident of the same kind emerges and everything collapses in front of the camera. The access Josh Kriegman and Elyse Steinberg had is extraordinary: the arguments, the panic and the moments of decision are shot from inside the room. The real subject is not the scandal but why the man cannot give up the camera, while Huma Abedin beside him pays for it in every scene. It won the grand jury prize at Sundance. Who it is for: viewers who like political documentary and stories about media. Who it is not for: anyone who does not want to watch a person collapse in public.
