Girish Kohli's 2025 Indian film is a thriller taking place entirely inside a car. Abhimanyu, a surgeon carrying a large sum for a settlement that will keep him out of prison, learns that his daughter has been abducted; the ransom demanded is exactly the amount beside him. The single-location constraint is both the film's method and its limit: the tension is built through phone calls and Sohum Shah's face, and he carries it. The story opens the man's guilt slowly, which keeps disturbing the viewer's sympathy. Its weakness is that the explanations pile up in the final section and some turns strain belief. Who it's for: viewers who like single-location thrillers and Indian independent productions. Who it's not for: anyone wanting a wider story, or avoiding content involving threat to a child.
