What Cross of Love Is About
There is a lighthouse keeper’s daughter. She runs away to the city with a businessman who has survived a shipwreck. She had another life in mind. But the life she hoped for is not waiting for her in the city. To get by she ends up working the streets. Then one day a painter sees her. He finds in her the model he has been looking for. The account runs drama and romance together. The film was adapted from a short story. Regina Linnanheimo and Oscar Tengström take the leads, with Ville Salminen and Rauli Tuomi also in the cast, in Teuvo Tulio’s Finnish film of 1946.
