Damn Kids

The film is set in Chile in 1983. The country is under the rule of Pinochet. Gladys is a young and brave woman. She lives in La Victoria, a poor neighbourhood on the edge of Santiago. She shares the house with her mother and her daughter. The neighbourhood is under pressure and means are scarce. One day a young missionary comes to their door. His name is Samuel Thompson. He carries a camera with him. He starts filming what he sees in the neighbourhood. The footage shows how people live under such conditions. A bond forms between him and Gladys. The eye that comes from outside meets the view from inside. The film records the daily texture of a period. Nathalia Aragonese and Daniel Contesse appear in the hundred and eighteen minute film, a Chilean production Gonzalo Justiniano finished in 2017.
