What Day and Night Is About
Thomas has decided to die, and spends his last day driving around saying goodbye to everyone: his son, his wife, his mistress, his sister, everyone he is leaving behind. Nobody understands that the goodbye is final, because he tells none of them what he intends, and in exchange he says things to each of them they will never forget. Simon Staho builds almost the whole film inside a car and shoots each encounter as its own scene. Mikael Persbrandt plays Thomas, with Michael Nyqvist, Tuva Novotny and Maria Bonnevie among those who pass through.
